Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
This split weekend course will be Directed by one of the country's most experienced individual Course Directors. This Training Course will take place in Northern Snowdonia and includes a one-night, two day expedition. The actual course dates are 18th to 20th and 25th to 27th November. Based at one of the iconic centres of mountaineering in Wales, the training team of Andy, and another very experienced instructor, offer candidates the opportunity to consolidate and improve their competence in leading mountain walking groups.
