Award Description
This award trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. The CWA does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.
About
The team at Mckinlay Mountaineering have delivered over 450 NGB courses over the last 15 years making them one of the most experienced providers in the country. At the end of the course all candidates will receive one to one feedback from the instructor giving them a detailed overview of any potential areas that need work and a realistic timescale to assessment. They will also receive 5 pages of the latest climbing games, a breakdown of the rescues and associated knots etc as well as contacts with some peak district providers to help them gain the necessary group experience needed for the assessment.
