Award Description
This award trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. The CWA does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.
About
Day 1 runs at the XC Centre in Hemel Hempstead, Jarman Park, HP2 4JS. (09.00-19.30hrs) Day 2 runs at Westway Climbing Centre in London, W10 6RP. (08.00-19.45hrs) Our meeting point for each day's action is in the cafe at each of the venues. We look forward to meeting you there. The fee listed above is the standard CWA course fee without the abseil module. There is the option to add this module (for the discounted additional fee of £50.00) when you book on this combined course. You can choose to book the standard CWA training on it's own, or to add the abseil module as well. The Abseil module is delivered in 2 parts; from approx 16.30hrs each day. Candidates not undertaking the CWA Abseil Module training are politely requested to stay until the end of the day to act as participants for the abseil training candidates. We feel this is a good training experience for anyone, regardless of whether or not you are taking the abseil module yourself. Each day should finish around 7.30 / 7.45pm for all candidates. (If for any reason you cannot stay after the standard CWA 'daytime' training, please let us know well before the course so we can plan accordingly for the abseil training sessions) Please book directly through our website using the link in the "Provider" section on this page.
