Award Description
This award trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. The CWA does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.
A 1 day assessment of your skills as a Climbing Wall instructor. This will look at your personal and group management skills in the climbing wall environment. If you have completed the Climbing Wall Award Abseil Module training and would also like to complete the assessment on this same day, please see my other courses and book on to that as well. You must have the following pre-requisites in place before booking the course: Be at least 18 years of age Attended a climbing wall training course or been granted exemption Logged a minimum of 30 climbing wall visits at least 3 different walls Have led a minimum of 40 indoor climbs Confidently lead F4 indoors Assisted in the supervision of 15 sessions instructed at a minimum of 2 different walls.
