Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
The course is based at Marle Hall Outdoor Education Centre near Conwy and the training will take place in the Snowdonia mountains. Accommodation and all food is provided. A 20% discount is available to university students in hill walking/mountaineering clubs (contact the Centre for details)
