Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.

Run from Arete Outdoor Centre near Llanberis we have easy access to the mountains of Snowdonia. Arete is an active outdoor centre running courses for young people and adult skills courses throughout the year, with a history of quality provision. Including in the cost is use of a full range of kit from our stores. The residential option is for self catering, catered accommodation may also be possible - please enquire to info@aretecentre.co.uk
