This worshop is aimed at Mountain Leaders who are confident on steep ground and have a good head for heights. The workshop is about leading others over Crib Goch and Crib y Ddysgl. Route selection, safeguarding on steep ground, escape routes, group management and decision-making with groups will all be covered and discussed throughout the day.

 

The workshop is run by Mike Raine, WMCI and author of The Mountian Leader - a practical manual and Jenny Dart MCI and rescue team member.

 

This workshop is weather dependent and high winds will lead to a cancellation or postponement.

 

You should be personally well equipped for a full mountain day. You’ll need packed lunch and a drink. The start time reflects the need to catch a bus to Pen y Pass or walk from Pen y Gwyrd.
