WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
Coastal bird watching walk-help walking leaders ID coastal birds/wintering birds which also inhabit our hill and moorlands with a super experienced local expert (David Tailor)-tips for Gull/Wader ID and also those pesky LBJ's (Skylarks/Meadow Pipits) which over Winter here.
NB-During Autumn/Winter our resident bird species migrate to the lowland/coastal areas, and lots of our raptors/owls are on show in the estuaries around the UK (Marsh Harrier, Merlin, Short Eared Owl, Peregrine etc)
We will also take in Flora and Fauna/network and build content for future workshops.
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED
Commensurate for Autumn/Winter weather-binoculars important (have a spare pair or two).
CATERING/FOOD
Suggest a flask with hot beverage as may be standing watching birdlife
WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS
Largely peer led, but local expert (recognised nationally) will help with bird ID
CANCELLATION PROCEDURE
Please don't cancel-if needed, alert at the earliest, we often wait in the car park for no shows which is frustrating-if you book, please put in your calendar-it is your responsibility to show up:)
