Workshop Content & Learning Outcomes:
This free peer-led event will provide an opportunity for members of the East Midlands & Anglia Region to get together in a relaxed setting to practice and discuss low visibility/night navigation skills. Bearings, pacing and timings will be used to reach our main objective.
Thetford Forest is a 18,730 hectare site made up of Pine, Heathland and Broadleaf trees. The first planting took place in the 1920's. This took place to support the reduction in the nations timber resources following the First World War. The area surrounding Santon Downham will provide many a trail, gravel pits, tumuli (ancient burial grounds) and even some contours.
