Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. The scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.
The Climbing Wall Instructor gives climbers the skills required to supervise participants on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders.
It is ideal for people who work at climbing walls or at venues with permanent or mobile climbing towers.
The Climbing Wall Instructor training course aims to develop your technical skills, judgements and areas of knowledge deemed necessary to become a Climbing Wall Instructor.

The climbing wall environment
The course is based in Keswick, and we will spend day one at Keswick Wall and day two at Kong Wall. The course fee does not include entry to the climbing walls.
