A teaching Problem Solving and Improvised Rescue workshop run by Kath James - top tips and handy hints on how to be progressive in your teaching of rescue techniques.
We will look at the variety of techniques that an instructor might put to use when teaching these skills. We will discuss how and when to use different techniques and what is appropriate to teach.
We will also look at managing safety of clients when running these days. And some of the additional bits of kit that can be used to make life easier - life beyond the prussik!
With years of experience of working at Plas y Brenin Kath has built up a wealth of knowledge in the management of teaching problem solvng and rescue skills. Kath has extensive experience of training and assessing and directing Mountain Training courses.
We will meet at Tyn y Coed, Capel Curig and head to a suitable venue for the day. You need to bring along your climbing kit, and suitable clothing food and drink for the day.
