The workshop will include immediate actions at an incident.

How to contact the emergency services and what information they would need. Particular focus on Lowland Terrain, but covering hill and mountain terrain

Basic outdoor first aid.

How and when to evacuate a casualty.

How to assist Search and Rescue team.

What to do if a Helicopter is called.

EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED

Please bring along walking/hill equipment you would carry as an individual or leader

WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS

The provider has been a remember of Mountain Rescue and Lowland Rescue for over 40 years and is currently the Operations officer of Hampshire Search and Rescue. Experience of lead group overseas into remote areas.
