Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.

This training course, is based out of Kendal, which has good public transport links, lots of local accommodation and good shops and services, all with walking distance of our Head Quarters.
The days start at our Head Quarters in Kendal, then we travel together into the fells of the South Lakes, a short drive away
