As in title! A look at this Ancient Monument and it’s unique Geology
and the history of how it was mined through the ages, and the birth
of the Pencil industry in Keswick. Also an opportunity to look at
‘mining’ ropework looking at both personal exploration and group
techniques and equipment.

Equipment - Harness, helmet, good headtorch, wellies and old waterproofs (or caving suit), dynamic caving cowstails (2 krabs and 2.5m length of dynamic rope) if you have them, if not I can provide these. If you want to play around with SRT and can get a full caving rig all the better (I can lend out some SRT rigs if need be, please enquire)
