Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
This is a split weekend (long weekends .. includes the Fridays) course of 6 days.
This is a non residential course where you secure your own accommodation. It suits locals, those with a short commute or those who bring camper vans, camp etc; it caters for a variety of candidate needs.
We start at 10 am on the 13th and finish at 4.30 pm on the 29th March.
We wild camp on the expedition Day5/6.
Course are run on a 1:6 trainer to candidate ratio.
