Join Tom Partridge and Will Kilner for a practical workshop delving into rigging and rope-based techniques from across multiple industries. Together we’ll examine the similarities, differences, and trade-offs between approaches used in mountaineering, caving, arboriculture, and rope access.

The day will cover:
• Rigging and access systems (top, bottom, and traverse)
• Work positioning methods
• Rope climbing & descending
• Problem solving

Participants will have the opportunity to handle a wide range of equipment and try out techniques from different disciplines, gaining fresh insights into their own practice while broadening their technical toolbox.

This workshop will be co-delivered by Tom Partridge and Will Kilner.
• Tom is an MCI and trainer/assessor for the BCA Cave Leader Scheme, as well as other NGB schemes.
• Will is an MCI, Level 3 IRATA Trainer, Arborist, MT and ERCA Provider.
