WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
Goal:
To provide outdoor providers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to welcome and serve individuals with disabilities, creating a more inclusive outdoor experience for all.
This in-person workshop will be delivered by a highly experienced occupational therapist (co-working as a qualified summer mountain leader with UK groups), and a disability consultant with lived experience of neurological injury, also working as a summer mountain leader. We offer this space as an opportunity for experiential learning and reflection, as well as high quality practical knowledge, skills and experience to be shared.
We will be sharing examples of best practice, practical tips, case studies, discussion and reflection towards a more equitable outdoor industry.
