Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on single pitch crags and climbing walls. Common activities undertaken by Rock Climbing Instructor will be roped climbing and bouldering. This scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.

Come and join us for a relaxed and informative Rock Climbing Instructor Training set in the PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK.
During the three days we will visit an indoor wall and two different crags in amazing locations and learn all about the skills required to be an effective climbing instructor
The course will run 9am to 5pm each day aprt from day 1 which will start at 10am
You will need to cover the cost of the climbing wall entry fee on Day 1
Cost is £240
Pre Requisites
Before you book onto a Rock Climbing Instructor training course, make sure you have done the following:
- You must be registered on the scheme.
You must have an up to date logbook (preferably DLOG) with evidence of the following:
- 15 led routes which must be graded rock climbs with traditional protection.
- 15 led routes at a climbing wall.
- 5 led routes which must be outdoor bolt protected sport climbs.
