Award Description

The Hill and Moorland Leader qualification is designed for people who want to lead groups in the hill and moorland areas of the UK and Ireland. This qualification is a wonderful opportunity to learn the leadership skills required to feel confident about taking people out walking. As you may have guessed from its descriptive title, it focuses on non-mountainous terrain.

Come and join us for a relaxed and informative Hill and Moorland Leader Training set in the PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK

During the three days we will visit some amazing locations and discuss its geology, history and wildlife.

The course will generally run 9am to 6pm each day but 1 of these days may run later to make sure we hit some limited visibility (darkeness)

Pre-Requisites

Before you book onto a Hill and Moorland Leader training course, make sure you have done the following:

• You must be registered on the scheme
• You must have recorded a minimum of 20 Quality Hillwalking Days on appropriate terrain (ideally on DLOG) which can have taken place at any point (pre- or post-registration)
