Award Description
The Hill and Moorland Leader qualification is designed for people who want to lead groups in the hill and moorland areas of the UK and Ireland. This qualification is a wonderful opportunity to learn the leadership skills required to feel confident about taking people out walking. As you may have guessed from its descriptive title, it focuses on non-mountainous terrain.
Our Hill and Moorland Leader Assessment courses are three-days long and based at Hagg Farm Outdoor Education Centre in the High Peak. The course assesses the skills needed to lead walking groups in hill and moorland terrain.
Adventure Unlimited has been running these courses in the Peak District for over twenty years and in that time we have run almost 400 Mountain Training courses.
Jules, Darren and Phil who run the courses are all keen mountaineers with a wide breadth of instructing experience. We aim to provide a positive, enjoyable and comprehensive assessment experience. Scroll down to the bottom of this page for a few things that folk have said about our courses.
