Award Description

The Hill and Moorland Leader qualification is designed for people who want to lead groups in the hill and moorland areas of the UK and Ireland. This qualification is a wonderful opportunity to learn the leadership skills required to feel confident about taking people out walking. As you may have guessed from its descriptive title, it focuses on non-mountainous terrain.

About

Hill and Moorland Training
Ideal for: People who lead groups in the hills, might venture away from obvious paths but won’t encounter mountain hazards like steep rocky ground. Commonly used in terrain that presents an intermediate level of challenge, for example Dartmoor, the Peak District, North York Moors, Pentland Hills and the Sperrins.
