WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
Lowland development day-suitable for all walking leader qualifications with focus on navigation, leadership, flora and fauna and how to deliver value beyond getting from A to B.
New Forest ideal place to spend a development day-open access, with amazing nature and local history to discuss whilst on the walk.
Walk will be approx 6-7 miles with plenty of stops for discussions including what to pack if you are leading a walk in this terrain/weather conditions.
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED
OL 22 1:25 New Forest map (will have a few spares), compass, binoculars. Commensurate clothing for January, plus a rucksack with everything you would need as a leader in this terrain.
CATERING/FOOD
Bring your own-will be outside for the day-hot drink advised!
WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS
Qualified Walking Leaders (LL/HML/ML), local to area and have led walks in the Forest as a freelancers.
CANCELLATION PROCEDURE
Please ensure you own your booking-we will send a reminder a few days before the walk, accepting that by exception the odd cancellation may occur due to unforeseen circumstances but this should be minimal.Please contact at the earliest if you cannot attend-at times we have had to wait at the meet point for people who have not informed of a no show. Sorry to sound like someones Dad!
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE EVENT
Your CPD record - If you attend this event and it counts as CPD, your CPD point/s will automatically be added to your record in due course - you will not need to add it yourself.
