Mountain Leader Ropework & Steep Ground Refresher
Learning outcomes:
The aim is to simplify Mountain Leader ropework to give you a clear understanding of the techniques suitable for the Mountain Leader award scheme. We will cover group management, anchor selection, rope handling, knots, belaying, system limitations and potential dangers to avoid. We will also look at Leader’s descent techniques as well as cover strategies for group management in steep ground and risk assessing such terrain. Importantly you will gain the confidence to look slick and perform well on your assessment course. There will be ample opportunities to ask questions and clarify any issues that came up in your training course.
This is definitely running so it will be a great opportunity to meet like minded trainees and to get to know people in the area to practise with.
