This workshop session will include both an induction for the Indoor Climbing Assistant and an Update workshop for directors and providers of Climbing Schemes.
Indoor Climbing Assistant Induction: A one day induction workshop for the Indoor Climbing Assistant. This workshop is a mandatory part of the new provider and director application process by Mountain Training.
Climbing Scheme Update: This 1 day workshop is open to providers, course directors and any course staff involved in the delivery of Mountain Training climbing leadership awards; Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Instructor and Climbing Wall Develpoment Instructor, who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills in the delivery of these award schemes.
Sessions throughout the day will include an update on the changes to the Mountain Training awards pathway; discussing any issues related to the delivery of the climbing awards, exploring any relevant topics that have arisen from candidate feedback and quality assurance visits, and a discussion on the use of CMS.
The workshop is non-residential. The cost includes lunch and refreshments.
The workshop will run from 9am to 4.30pm.
