WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES

- Develop an understanding of the mountain environment

- Facilitative and interactive teaching and learning techniques

- Tools for leading and engaging groups on guided walks

- A masterclass in the fundamentals of group leadership

- Develop identification skills looking at a range of plants and animals

- Gain an understanding of how the mountain environment was created

- Discuss human impacts on the landscape

EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED

Normal hill kit for a day in the monutain environment. Camera, binoculars, Pen & paper / notebook

CATERING/FOOD

Please bring a packed lunch and a drink. We will start and end at the cafe where refreshments are available to purchase

WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS

Qualified IML and ecologist by training. Jim has extensive experience in teaching in the outdoors to students, teachers and instructors.
