WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS

The Dartmoor Rescue Group was first formed in Tavistock in 1968, to help The Police provide an efficient search and rescue service on Dartmoor and other remote places. We are affiliated to Mountain Rescue England and Wales. Nearly 50 years later, the four Dartmoor Search & Rescue Teams continue to provide support to search for, treat and evacuate people lost or injured not just on Dartmoor, but anywhere we’re needed. Based in Tavistock, Ashburton, Okehampton and Plymouth nearly 200 volunteers are available to answer Call-outs at all hours and in all weather conditions.

CANCELLATION PROCEDURE

In the event of a Call Out this will obviously take priority over training.  the nature and scale of the call-out will determine further activity. attendees should be prepared for this while nearing in mind th at mid-week evening call-outs for the team are thankfully rare!

THESE WORKSHOPS ARE FREE - A CONTRIBUTION FOR ATTENDANCE WILL HELP THE TEAM CONTINUE THE WORK THEY DO.
