Workshop or Session Description:
Day 1 (21.05.20): Fixed equipment session. We will be working on a short section of fixed equipment as part of a journey. Several scenarios can be examined with plenty of hands on practice for participants. Kicking/cutting steps in spring snow & ice axe belay building in spring snow on the same mountain day.
Day 2 (22.05.20): Rope work scenarios as part of an IML day. Route selection. Spotting clients on challenging terrain. This CPD is suitable for current IMLs who want to brush up on their summer technical IML skills. It would also serve as a refresher training for IML aspirants about to go on their assessment. Participants need to bring a walking rope, a selection of slings and karabiners and a walking axe.
Provider: Dave Norris from Lesparrou Retreats and Adventures will be running the 2 days of training. He has many years of working on mountain skills and technical rope rescue courses all over the world. He is an active IML working on the TMB, in the Dolomites and from his home base in the Pyrenees.

Cost: £200.00 paid directly to the Provider (no CMS payments). Includes 3 nights of shared self catered accommodation with bedding provided. Participants need to provide their own transport and food.
