Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
About
This course is a Mountain Leader Training course run over two long weekends 27 -29 April and 4-6 May.
The course will be run by Steve Spalding one of the most experienced trainers in the UK.
Courses are based in Pitlochry which provides a wide range of easily accessible excellent venues.
You can choose to travel each day if you live locally or stay in the area.
Our course mileage is low as venues are generally close to the town.
In Pitlochry there are a wide choice of places to stay so you can choose accommodation to suit your budget.
Travel options to Pitlochry include main line rail links and coach.
