Every day working as a Mountain Instructor we meet clients and have to quickly work out what is the best plan for the day.
This is one of the key areas assessed during a Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor assessment.
This workshop will look at the decision making used in developing a plan for the day.
Aims of the day:
We will probably spend a good amount of time working through decision making then go on the crag to try out a few ideas, putting into practice some of the plans to see how they play out.
The main focus of this workshop is the super important stage of planning and the process of coming up with a great structure for the day.
The day will be run by Stuart Carter, WMCI, director of Climb365, Mountain Training Provider of ML, RCI and RCDI, Mountain Training regional Moderator.
Please bring: Full rock climbing rack, helmet, rope, food, drink, hill kit for the time of year as appropriate, notebook, pen and a willingness to share ideas and previous experience.
Cost is £50, workshop is worth 1 CPD point.
Open to Trainee and Full Members.
