Award Description
The Expedition Skills Module is an optional module available to walking leaders. It's an opportunity to increase your skills where you will be trained and assessed to lead groups on multi day camping expeditions.
About
The course will be run from a private woodland south of Dorking along the A24. Please contact the provider for more information. This course is accessible from London by train.
The Expedition Skills Module is ideal for those involved with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and/or Ten Tors training (among other things) because the skills covered apply to expeditions using commercial campsites as well as wild camping.
The flexibility of the module makes it useful for walking leaders, however the terrain and conditions are most suited to Lowland and fall within the scope of this respective qualification. We will cover organisation and set up a wild camp.
