Workshop Content & Learning Outcomes:
This free peer-led event will provide an opportunity for members of the CE Region to get together in a relaxed setting to practice and discuss low visibility/night navigation skills. Bearings, pacing and timings will be used following a planned route. Further topics for discussion will be micro navigation, contours, attack points, handrailing, boxing around and the 5 D's (Destination, Direction, Distance, Duration, Description).
Equipment & Kit Required:
Your personal walking kit appropriate for the forecasted weather conditions. Equipment should include OS Map Chilterns West 171, compass and head torch.
Catering/Food:
There will be an opportunity for a quick break. If you wish to bring a flask/snack, please do so.
