Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
About
Come and join us for a relaxed and informative Mountain Leader Training set in the Snowdonia National Park.
The course will be based at Gwern Gof Uchaf Campsite in the Ogwen Valley. The price is £7 per night to stay here.
During the five* days we will visit some amazing locations and learn about its geology, history and wildlife.
The course will run 9am to 6pm each day but 2 of these days will be a overnight expedition.
Volunteer Leaders: 10% discount.
Scouts, Guide and DofE Please email us to discuss as we will need confirmation from someone that you are a volunteer.
MTA Members: 10% discount.
Need to be current member at time of booking and time of course.
