This workshop is being offered free to AMI members as a response to the covid19 situation.
This workshop will give an opportunity for Members to reflect on their own professional mountaineering practice. It will also help Members to consider their decision making, judgement and technical skills, as well as how to manage the challenges and pressures of meeting client expectations.
Anonymised incidents, reported to AMI as part of the Professional Standards Process, will be used in the workshop to encourage discussion on professional practice in a range of mountaineering situations.
This workshop has been offered at several previous AGM weekends and participants have found them to be informative, useful and interesting.
Workshop participants should expect to share reflections and observations on their own professional practice.
The structured discussions will be led by Steve Howe, Chair of the AMI Professional Standards Committee, and Rob Pugh, AMI North West Regional Representative.
The workshop will run from 6.00pm to 9.00pm over Zoom conferencing (this will be the first time we have run this workshop in this format). Meeting details will be emailed to participants.
The workshop is free, worth half a CPD point, and there are 12 places available.
