This day is aimed at Mountain Leaders and aspirant Mountain Leaders who want to gain personal experience and confidence on Grade 1 terrain. If you are a hill walker who wants to get off the beaten track onto exposed mountain ridges or tricky rocky lines running up mountains, scrambling provides you with the perfect next step from hillwalking and this day is an introduction to it.

Please note: This is a personal skills course and is not designed to extend the scope of your work as an ML holder. Skills will be delivered in the context of recreational mountaineers going out together rather than leaders guiding novices.

The day will be delivered by myself, an experienced North Wales Mountain Training Cymru Provider and active Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor. The day will be on a 1:4 ratio and will involve looking at route finding and personal movement in ascent / descent.
