Climbing for All is a one day course providing an introduction to instructing disabled people in climbing. The course has now been delivered for over 11 years and was developed by Adventure for All and Mountain Training England and Association of Mountaineering Instructors.

The purpose of the course is to provide instructors and coaches increased confidence and skills to enable disabled people to experience and enjoy climbing. The course also provides you with an opportunity to test you instructing and coaching skills in new territories.

The course is delivered in two halves

1. Theory/Practical
•Appropriate/Inappropriate Language
•Types of Disabilities
•How do Disabilities Occur
•Models of Disability
•Identifying and Tackling Barriers

2. The second half covers
•Climbing Environments
•Side Supported Climbing
•Vertical Hoists
•Wheelchair Abseiling
 
This course is delivered by Gavin Kelly - Mountain Training course provider, Former GB Paraclimbing Team Coach and Technical Adviser.  Gavin is an active and current Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor with a passion for removing barriers to peoples goals.
