Award Description
The Hill and Moorland Leader award is designed for people who want to lead groups in the hill and moorland areas of the UK and Ireland. This award is a wonderful opportunity to learn the leadership skills required to feel confident about taking people out walking. As you may have guessed from the descriptive title of this award, it focuses on non-mountainous terrain.

We provide a mix of both theory and practical training to enable you to develop your skills at your own pace. We give detailed personalised feedback and action plans so that you can approach assessment as soon as possible and with confidence.

We regularly run the Hill and Moorland Leader course from our course base in the Peak District, but can also run the course from your school or at other venues if desired.
