This is an excellent peer led opportunity for MTA members to socialise and enjoy support at the fantastic Altnadue Quarry setting. There’s opportunity for members to lead or top-rope a range of climbing routes.

The event is open to all members of the MTA (associate and full) who wish to learn and develop their skills, enjoy the good weather (hopefully) or push themselves on the harder routes.

The experience can be used to count towards MT awards such as the new Rock Climbing Development Instructor. There’s also opportunity to look at skill development in the peer setting.

Should weather preclude outdoor climbing, we will go to Tollymore National Outdoor Centre.

Attendees should bring climbing shoes, harness, helmet and any technical equipment needed as well as outdoor clothing, food and first aid kit/ medicine.
