Navigation Refresher
This full day workshop forms part of a CPD weekend supported by the South West Regional Team and led by experts in their fields. This weekend is a great opportunity for members to get together, improve their awareness and practice and refresh their skills.
This full day navigation refresher session is a great opportunity for members preparing for their Hill & Moorland Leader or Lowland Leader assessment in the future, to consolidate their personal navigation skills, and will also serve as a good refresher for award holder. It will aim to develop your navigation strategies, techniques and efficiency and there will be ample opportunities to ask questions and clarify any issues that came up on your training course. This workshop will be a great opportunity to meet like-minded trainees and award holder and to get to know people in the area to practise with.
Typically during the day we are likely to cover...
Equipment to bring: Plenty of food and drink, compass, local maps (Mendip Hills). Please dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. Pete can provide map extracts of the area so if you don't already own one don't worry about buying one.
