Winter Hazards - The art of anticipation webinar
Illustrating a mountain journey through story telling this webinar will introduce a process of planning and decision making that will help avoid adventure turning into a misadventure.
This short online MTA session forms part of a free series of informative and interactive webinars designed to help provide continued support for members during the current lockdown. All sessions are hosted by experts in their fields and/or Mountain Training Course Directors that run training and assessment courses. The majority of our hosts are also current MTA workshop providers. All hosts are generously volunteering their time to run these sessions for members.
We anticipate these sessions will last for about an hour, but please leave extra time in your schedule.
These webinars are being run by experienced members of the staff team at Glenmore lodge. This particular session is being hosted by Alex Parmenter.
Alex has worked in the Scottish Mountains for 15 years. In the winter he spends most of his time on skis in the Scottish Backcountry but will also be found out climbing and occupying the odd snow hole. He holds the WMCI and is a BASI ISIA Instructor. Alex is also a director for the Snowsport Scotland Off-Piste Leader Awards. He has been a Senior Instructor at Glenmore Lodge since 2014.
