Common reasons for a navigation deferment

The most common reasons given for a navigation deferment at all levels of award where it is assessed are: Contour interpretation, a lack of appropriate leg planning & navigation strategies and an inability to carry out a relocation process. The workshop will discuss these topics and thoughts on improving these skill areas.

This short online MTA session forms part of a free series of informative and interactive webinars designed to help provide continued support for members during the current lockdown. All sessions are hosted by experts in their fields and/or Mountain Training Course Directors that run training and assessment courses. The majority of our hosts are also current MTA workshop providers. All hosts are generously volunteering their time to run these sessions for members.
