Award Description
The Hill and Moorland Leader award is designed for people who want to lead groups in the hill and moorland areas of the UK and Ireland. This award is a wonderful opportunity to learn the leadership skills required to feel confident about taking people out walking. As you may have guessed from the descriptive title of this award, it focuses on non-mountainous terrain.
This is a 3-day course based from the Anderton Centre Lancashire. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff deliver the course using our magnificent surroundings of the West & South Pennine Moors and the Forest of Bowland.
The qualification will give you the skills to lead and manage groups in hill and moorland areas. It is a great award that is used considerably by Duke of Edinburgh leaders, Walking group leaders and Outdoor professionals.
Residential options are offered with the choice of FULL BOARD or SELF CATERED. All the accomodation come with en suite rooms, free WIFI, secure parking and drying facilities for wet clothing after a day on the hill, lounge area for relaxing and cooking facilties.
