Spend a day on Crib Goch with Steve Howe of Snowdonia First Aid, an experienced Mountain Leader trainer and assessor and an experienced mountain rescuer and advanced first aider.
We will discuss how Mountain Leaders can work with groups on Crib Goch and remain within the scope of the qualification and your experience. The idea of the workshop is to look at route choice, decision making, group sizes, escape routes, personal familiarisation, assessing your group and relevant environment topics, including navigating by geology! On completion, attendees should feel more confident about working on Crib Goch within the remit of the ML.
This workshop is perfect for qualified (rather than trainee) Mountain Leaders who want to work on Crib Goch and would like to develop their own understanding of scrambling ground in relation to the Mountain Leader scheme. The workshop will qualify for one Mountain Training Association CPD point.
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED
Personal hill kit, a helmet and a packed lunch.
