Award Description
The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.
This is a residential course run out of the SW Regional Activities Centre at MoD Boscombe Down, SP4 0JE. No non-residential option exists as the course includes some evening classroom work. This course is only open to Cadet/HM Forces personnel. Joining instructions will be emailed out to all candidates once the course has been finalised. Please state in any booking enquiry what Unit, Wing and Region you are from. Priority is afforded to South West Region ATC first, followed by other ATC candidates, then other CFAV (ACF, SCC, CCF) then Reserves/Regular AF personnel.
External candidates cannot be accepted for insurance reasons.
Bookings will only be confirmed once the payment has been received. Attendance will then be on condition that candidates have logged the minimum 10 days required in thier DLOG.
