Learning from Experience Safety Seminar
A workshop that gives the opportunity for members to reflect on their own professional mountaineering practice.
Anonymised incidents, reported to AMI as part of the Professional Standards Process, are used in the workshop to encourage discussion on professional practice in a range of mountaineering situations. At previous AGMs this workshop has helped members to consider their decision making, judgement and technical skills as well as how to manage the challenges and pressures of meeting client expectations.
The structured discussions are led by Steve Howe, Chair of the AMI Professional Standards Committee.
Workshop participants should expect to share reflections and observations on their own professional practice.
