Bolting Workshop
Workshop Content
A workshop covering the theoretical and practical aspects of placing bolt anchors for climbing.
The workshop will cover:
- EN959 Rock anchor standard and what it means
- Different anchor and lower off types, expansion and resin anchors.
- Overview of ethics, conservation and liability.
- Review of equipment needed.
- Practical session covering placing anchors.
Equipment
This will be an outdoor, ground based session, so outdoor clothing including waterproofs and sturdy foot wear will be required. All other PPE will be provided.
Additional Information
This workshop is based at Horseshoe Quarry. It is best for the workshop provider to meet at the venue and for delegates to be encouraged to lift share there so we don’t fill up the parking.
