Award Description
The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.
About
The course is based from the Old School in Nether Wasdale. We then walk through the fields in the beautiful Wasdale and Eskdale valleys. Some feedback from a candidate from last year. "Can I change my mind about doing the assessment? I enjoyed the course so much I think it would be a shame not to carry on and use the opportunity to gain a qualification. We are off to the Llyn Peninsula at the weekend so I'm looking forward to having a chance to practice my new skills. Thank you to you and Richard once again Jo" And, yes she is now a qualified Lowland Leader.
