Delivered in partnership with  www.anyonecan.uk and Kathryn Cubby Occupational Therapist Climbing for All is a one day course providing an introduction to instructing disabled people in climbing.

The course has now been delivered for over 12 years and was developed by Adventure for All and Mountain Training England. Climbing for All is an MTA and Association of Mountaineering Instructors approved course.

The purpose of the course is to provide instructors and coaches increased confidence and skills to enable disabled people to experience and enjoy climbing. The course also provides you with an opportunity to test your instructing and coaching skills in new territories.

Course delivered in two halves Theory/Practical

• Appropriate/Inappropriate Language
• Types of Disabilities
• How do Disabilities Occur
• Models of Disability
• Inclusive/Integrated/Segregated?

The second half covers

• Climbing Environments
• Side Supported Climbing
• Vertical Hoists
• Wheelchair Abseiling

Course Director

Graeme assisted in the development of the course and has been delivering if for over 12 years. He was the founder of the GB paraclimbing team and is the current chair of the IOL Adventure for All Professional Practice Group.
