Join Mike Raine and Keith Hulse for this Nature of Snowdonia Special Snowdon Workshop. Open only to qualified Mountain Leaders. Mike will take you through the nature of the mountain, the geology, the glaciation, plant and birdlife. We’ll talk about the history of farming, mining and tourism on the mountain. Keith regale you of lessons learnt working as full time guide and volunteer ranger on Snowdon, Yr Wyddfa.
You’ll receive a PDF of all the information shared on the day to help you with future work on the mountain. We’ll meet at Pencaunant Isaf, where you’ll be supplied with a bacon or egg sandwich and coffee (all included.) We’ll wander up the Llanberis Path, enjoy a brew at the Halfway House, (included). We’ll gaze over at the complex geological jigsaw of Clogwyn du’r Arddu.
This day will set you up with a lifetime of ideas for guiding on Yr Wyddfa, it’ll kick start your fund of stories, improve your knowledge and open your eyes to aspects of the mountain you never knew existed.
You’ll need to bring a pack lunch (we won’t linger at the summit café) and be prepared for a full day on the mountain. Our journey will take us up the Llanberis Path, down the Miners Path and we’ll get the bus back to Llanberis from Pen y Pass
