Award Description

This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. The scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.

Peak Mountain Training has been at the forefront of delivering quality training and assessment courses on behalf of Mountain Training for the past 10 Years.

We are small team of Guides and Instructors who are amongst the most experienced in the UK Adventure qualifications industry. All of us have either worked at or currently work with the UK National Mountain Centres, hold the highest UK and International Qualifications. Along with this is depth and breadth of proven experience working with groups and individuals from all backgrounds, understanding their needs and delivering courses of the highest quality.

Our two-day course includes a day at each of two different major climbing walls, covering both the personal and group climbing skills required to attain the required standard. Following training, candidates undergo a consolidation period after which they will be eligible to apply to attend an Assessment Course.

All CWI Training courses have option of incorporating the Top Access and Abseiling Module, included in the price, allowing candidates to run abseiling sessions in addition to core climbing activities. Ideally let us know when booking if would like this option.
