Award Description
Our Rock Skills courses are designed to provide structured training opportunities for people who want to learn more and become independent climbers. There are three different levels so that complete beginners and those with more experience can choose the most appropriate starting point.
About
This course is an extension of the Women's Trad Festival for those people who missed out on tickets. However we've also opened this course up wider still to anyone wishing to develop their trad skills.
The course is being run by Katherine Schirrmacher and Andi Turner
It is being offered at the specially discounted and subsidised rate of £165 as Mountain Training is supporting the Women's Trad Festival.
This course includes all elements of developing single pitch trad leading skills:
Route choices
Gear placements and judgements
Building belays at the top of the crag
Learning to place gear on lead
Belaying a trad leader
